PRIA Coalition Sends Letter to Prominent Members of Senate Appropriations Subcommittees
June 25, 2019
On June 7, the Pesticide Registration Improvement Extension Act (PRIA) Coalition sent a letter to the Chairs and Ranking Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee of Interior and the Environment. The letter, which included signatories from industry, NGO’s and labor unions, addressed concerns regarding suggested cuts to the Office of Pollution Prevention (OPP) within the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) and our coalition partners have always advocated that the EPA be fully funded so that it can fulfill its responsibilities, including in the OPP, which oversees the registration of pesticide products under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and PRIA.
