Georges, Yost Take Part in California Air Resources Board (CARB) Definitions Work Group to Advance Effective Regulatory Language
August 6, 2019
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) Regulatory Definitions Work Group conducted its kick-off meeting as part of the current rulemaking process. Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) staff, including Nicholas Georges, Senior Director, Scientific & International Affairs, and Joe Yost, Vice President, Strategic Alliances & Industry Relations, participated in the meeting. Both Nicholas and Joe expressed HCPA member companies’ support for CARB’s goal of further enhancing the concise, transparent and effective regulatory language in the current CARB product category definitions. HCPA also conveyed members’ recommended revisions to several of the current definitions.
In return, CARB staff requested that stakeholders provide input on possible product category definitions to review and potentially modify by August 16. HCPA’s Air Quality Council will continue meeting regularly to discuss this and other issues related to the ongoing CARB rulemaking process.
Please contact Nicholas Georges, Senior Director, Scientific & International Affairs, at ngeorges@thehcpa.org with additional comments or questions.
